Gree Ra’desh

September 25, 2015

Gree Ra’desh, was a Yah’Weian missionary that lived two hundred years before the formation of the Conglomerate States. This turbulent era, known as the Age of Turmoil, saw the decline of interstellar trade and multiple wars between rival worlds, which lead to a great deal of suffering throughout the galaxy.

Gree Ra’desh was well known and praised for his work helping the sick and poor as he traveled between galactic hotspots, spreading the message of Yah’Wei.

The missionary was killed while helping Dorsyan refugees at camp bombed Ziefian rebels. Soon after his death, the Yah’Weian elders declared Gree Ra’desh a saint, who would go on to become a prominent figure in the religion.

In the Conglomerate era, the Gree Ra’desh is still revered by the faithful, but frequently used in vain by less religious beings.

The Conglomerate Age

1 ACF to Current (210 ACF)

The galaxy is starting to unite once more, taking the Wei’Quin’s ideal of developing the land and its resources in the name of profit and progress, twelve titan corporations stepped forward and essentially bought two thirds of the Nexis Galaxy. Privatizing the local governments and public services, replacing politicians with regional directors. Planets sold their independence in exchange for security, food, and guaranteed employment for all citizens. The twelve galactic corporations then established a loose knit truce between one another and became known as the Conglomerate States.

1000 BCF – 0 ACF

A thousand year period between the fall of the Wei’Quin Empire and rise of the Conglomerate States.

Technology, interstellar trade and diplomatic relations between worlds were massively setback by the Great War and the loss of a central government.

The Wei’Quin Age

July 1, 2015

1500 BCF – 1,000 BCF

New species all around the galaxy are reaching “Hyperdrive” level technology. There are little to no signs left of the Ancient races. The concept has been largely dismissed as myth or been absorbed into local religious doctrine as angels and deities.
In the Core of the galaxy, a central government called the Wei’Quin Empire has been formed. It has a manifesto to unite all the worlds of the Nexis under one rule, one culture, and one language. It proceeds to absorb the surrounding systems through diplomacies and generosity at first, and war if the people resists.

The Age of Exploration

June 30, 2015

2300 BCF – 1500 BCF
Eight hundred years before the rise of the Wei’Quin Empire, interstellar exploration was made possible with the invention of the Hyperdrive Engine. Journey’s between star systems that would have once taken generations, could now be achieved in days. World’s that’s could only be glimpsed through telescopes could now be visited.

Slowly but surely the denizens of the Nexis were beginning to realize they were far from alone in the galaxy. Eventually space-lanes were mapped providing the safest and fastest routes between worlds, allowing for interstellar trade.

Many world’s profited as a result of this age, however, as the ring of explored territories grew ever wider, the more technologically advanced worlds began to conquer and exploit the new worlds they came upon.

The Age of Progress

3300 BCF – 2300 BCF
The age in which civilizations first arose across the galaxy and began recording their individual histories. Technology was in it’s infancy and the beings of the Nexis had no means of knowing there was life all throughout the galaxy.

Prehistory

3300 BCF and Before

Prehistory refers to the period of existence for sentient lifeforms in the Nexis before the availability of written records.

Some fringe scholars believe that while the ancestors of the Conglomerate States were still living in caves, the Reptilia Droc were already exploring galaxy. Corporate sponsored academies however does not acknowledge such claims.

Yah’Wei

May 7, 2015

As the Wei’Quin Empire conquered and united the core worlds of the Nexis, vastly different cultures were forced coexist. This lead to an exchange and blending of ideas, including the creation of the Yah’Weian religion. This was a peaceful, monotheistic sect revolving around the worship of a deity named Yah’Wei, which quickly spread among the Wei’Quin territories.

After the Wei’Quin collapsed, the Yah’Weian religion and Corr’Quin language were two of the only surviving legacies of the once  great Empire. The religion would continue to be spread by missionaries such as Gree Ra’desh, who would later be declared a saint.

When Human nomads first arrived in Nexis galaxy many convert to the Yei’Weian religion as a means of assimilation, and because of it’s similarities to the three dominant religions of their ancient homeworld.

The Corr’Quin Language

May 6, 2015

Corr’Quin is the primary language of the Wei’Quin Empire. At the height of it’s power, the Wei’Quin controlled huge portions of the Nexis Galaxy, forcing its language and culture throughout the inhabited worlds of it’s territory.

The Corr’Quin language ultimately persisted long after the fall of the civilization which created it. The widely known dialect had become a necessity through interstellar trade as a means for different species to communicate with one another.

The Conglomerate states also understood the advantages of unfettered communication between the worlds, and upon their formation required all citizens to learn Corr’Quin in addition to their natives languages.

As a result of the Conglomerate States expansion into the Outer Territories, Corr’Quin has been spreading among nomads and other locals seeking to trade.

Expletives

April 7, 2015

Overtime a number of coarse and vulgar words from other languages throughout the Nexis have been incorporated into the Corr’Quin dialect. Usually reserved for offending or expressing intense emotion, some are used more casually depending on the social circle. Examples include:

Crite
As a noun it refers to fecal matter (excrement) and as a verb it means to defecate.
“What a bunch of crite.” “You are full of crite.” “It smell like crite in here.”

V’lek
Refers to the act of sexual intercourse and is also commonly used to denote disdain or as an intensifier.
“V’lek you!” “What the v’lek?” “What a v’leking mess!” “We are so v’leked!”

Mox’zung
A term of degradation considered to be the most extreme and hostile of insults. When used alone acts as an intensifier, while the addition of “un” (mox’zung un), directs the profanity towards a group or individual. This phrase is used sparingly, as it often results in a violent reaction.
